Okay, that headline is a sensationalized bit of hyperbole based on the truth. Author Donald Miller will not likely be hanging out in uptown Tyler on June 18th and 19th. But, Mosaic will be hosting a big garage sale on those dates, and proceeds from the sale will be donated to The Mentoring Project to change the lives of our country’s fatherless boys.
Today, weeks in advance, people are beginning to leave items in Angela’s garage (made famous as Moving Castles‘ practice lair). Some of the items are already priced, but the evening of June 17th will be a pricing extravaganza and everyone is welcome to come help make a big job more fun and quick.
We need items to sale–things that you once loved, but that now feel more like clutter than treasure to you.
We need volunteers–people who are willing to be out early on the weekend to actually man the sale space. We’ll need muscles and smiles.
We need prayers–this one is true always, but we believe that God will use the Mentoring Project to make this world more like the Kingdom he intended, so we need prayer support.
The sale will take place at 1319 N. Bois D’Arc Avenue. Please drop items there and show up the weekend of the sale to help in any way that you feel that you can.
